Start or Reactivate a Club

Mainstreet

There are numerous clubs and organizations at JJC. They offer almost unlimited opportunities for students to become acquainted with other students, develop leadership skills and interact with others who share similar interests.

Chartering of new clubs occurs at Collegiate Club Council meetings in October and February. We are limited to 45 clubs being chartered due to budget restrictions.

Students attempting to start new clubs have two opportunities to reserve space and promote activities prior to initial chartering. This gives new students a chance to determine interest. Contact Pam Dilday at pdilday@jjc.edu or Amy Sims at asims@jjc.edu to make space arrangements.

Start a New Club or Reactivate a Former Club

  1. Obtain petition forms from the Office of Student Activities, D-1010 or below.
  2. Have a minimum of 10 students and a faculty sponsor to oversee the activities.
  3. Draft a statement of purpose,  and membership roster for the proposed club as well as a constitution.
  4. New clubs are charted in October and February only!
  5. There is a limit of 45 clubs that may be chartered.

Forms

All items above must be submitted to Amy Sims, Coordinator of Student Activities and Holistic Wellness along with a formal recognition by the Collegiate Club Council. For more information contact OSA, room D-1010 or call (815) 280-2202.
