The 2011 season will be Jeremy Richardson's fourth season as JJC's Head Football Coach.

JJC advanced to the Graphic Edge Printing Bowl Game in the 2009 season where they defeated North Dakota State College of Science by a 28-17 score.

Before coming to Joliet, Coach Richardson was a wide receivers coach at Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, FL for one season where the team won the 2006 3A State Football Championship. Prior to that, he spent two seasons at Northern Michigan University as a graduate assistant where he worked with tight ends, offensive line, and wide receivers. He also coached one season at Fairmont State College as a student assistant tight ends coach.

Richardson was a three sport athlete at Bloomington High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track. He then went on to play football at Joliet Junior College for the 1997 and 1998 seasons where he earned N4C all-conference honors his sophomore season. After Joliet, he went to Fairmont State College where he was a two year starter as a tight end. Richardson was a two time all-conference recipient in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Richardson earned his master's degree in training and development from Northern Michigan University. He received his bachelor's degree from Aurora University and his associate's degree from Joliet Junior College.

Jeremy and his wife Latisha reside in Joliet, IL. They have three children, Nya, Jeremy, and Jemigh.

Jason DeWolfJason Dewolf

The 2011 season will be Jason DeWolf's fifth season as the defensive coordinator for the Joliet Junior College football team. It will be his seventh year on the Wolves coaching staff.

JJC advanced to the Graphic Edge Printing Bowl Game in the 2009 season where they defeated North Dakota State College of Science by a 28-17 score.

DeWolf coached at Arizona Western College during the 2008 football season with former Joliet Junior College Head Coach Tom Minnick.

During the 2007 season at JJC, DeWolf helped guide the Wolves to a 10-2 record where they earned the Midwest Football Conference Eastern Division Championship and the Graphic Edge Printing Bowl Championship.

Before taking over the reins of Defensive Coordinator in 2006, Jason was the offensive line coach for the 2002 and 2004 seasons. In 2002, The Wolves posted the school's first and only perfect season (11-0) en route to the overall junior college national championship.

DeWolf was an assistant defensive line coach at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, IL for their inaugural 2001 season. He helped lead the team to the IHSA Class 6A state playoffs that year. He also assisted Lincoln-Way East for the 2003 season.

Coach DeWolf is a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School where he played football under head coach Rob Glielmi. His team appeared in the Class 6A state championship game his senior season.

He then went on to Southeast Missouri State University where he was a defensive tackle for the Indians. Jason earned a bachelor's degree from Governors State University and his master's degree in education from Chicago State University.

Jason resides in Frankfort, IL with his wife Jackie. They have one son, Max, and two daughters, Madison and Lily.

Darryl Richardson

Darryl Richardson

Running Backs Coach

The 2011 football season marks the 12th year that Darryl Richardson has been an assistant coach at Joliet Junior College. Richardson has coached tailbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends during his coaching career at Joliet.

Richardson was a wide receivers coach at the College of DuPage under former Joliet Junior College head coach Bob MacDougall. Darryl coached at DuPage from 1991 through the 1997 season. Besides coaching at DuPage and now Joliet Junior College, Richardson coached for the Tulsa Talons in the Arena Football League in 2000.

In addition to his wealth of coaching experience, Richardson brings to the table an abundance of accolades from his playing days on the gridiron.

Richardson earned Illinois High School Association All-State honors as a star player at Wheaton North High School. By rushing for more than 1,000 yards twice in his prep career, he helped Wheaton North to two state championships (1979 and 1981).

Following high school, Richardson was a three-year starting running back at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. In his sophomore year, he rushed for 1,204 yards. That same year, Darryl helped the Huskies finish with a 10-2 record and win the California Bowl with a victory over highly touted Cal State-Fullerton. He earned all-conference honors in the prestigious Mid-American Conference (MAC) and was an honorable mention All-American in his playing days at Northern Illinois.

Richardson received his bachelor of arts degree in communications from Northern Illinois University. He signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League in 1986. One year later, he played with the Cincinnati Bengals. After a brief stint in the Canadian Football League (CFL), Richardson retired as a player.

Darryl is employed with Compass Mortgage, Inc. as a mortgage consultant. He resides in Carol Stream, IL.

Eric GrovesEric Groves

Defensive Line/Special Teams Coach

Eric Groves will be coaching his fourth season as an assistant on the JJC Wolves coaching staff.

Eric attended JJC and played football for the Wolves during the 1996 and 1997 seasons. After JJC, he transferred to Tuskegee University where he was part of the Division to Black College National Championship in 1998 as a linebacker under Coach Rick Comegy.

Groves was a three-year starting linebacker at Danville High School under Coach Nate Cunningham. He led in tackles for two seasons, which earned him All-Conference honors his junior and senior years.

Eric resides in Joliet, IL.

Todd WilliamsLaTodd Williams

Defensive Line Coach

The 2011 football season will mark the third year for Coach Todd Williams as the defensive line coach for the Joliet Junior College football staff. Since joining the staff in 2009, Coach Williams has produced several Midwest Football Conference All-Region defensive linemen every single season.

Coach Williams was a linebacker at the University of New Mexico under Coach Dennis Franchione. He started seventeen games during his tenure. Todd earned conference player of the week, most consecutive sacks, and the team's most improved award for defense.

Coach Williams is also a former junior college player; he attended Highland Community College in Kansas. While at H.C.C., Coach Williams earned several awards including NJCAA All-Academic 2nd team, Highland's Defensive Player of the Year, Iowa Junior College All-Conference 2nd team, 1992 Highland's strongest pound for pound athlete award, and was a dean's list recipient all in which earned him a Division I scholarship offer to the University of New Mexico. Todd graduated from Senn High School where he still holds the school's all-time record for most sacks in a season (26).

Todd is employed for AT&T as a Sr. Quality M&P Process Engineer. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of New Mexico and a master's degree in telecommunications from DePaul University. He and his wife, Syreeta, reside in Matteson, IL. They have two children, Jaelah and Todd Christian.

Shane CoreyShane Corey

Pass Game Coordinator

Coach Shane Corey will be entering his third season as an assistant coach for the Joliet Junior College football staff. He is in charge of the quarterbacks and wide receivers for the Wolves as the pass game coordinator.

For the 2007 and 2008 seasons, Coach Corey served as the Head JV Coach and Varsity Receivers Coach at El Cajon Valley High School in San Diego, California.

Corey is no stranger to the junior college ranks as he attended Grossmont Junior College in San Diego where he obtained his associate's degree. As a two-sport athlete in football and track, Corey earned all-conference honors his freshman and sophomore years as a wide receiver for the Griffins. During his sophomore year, he helped lead the Griffins to a perfect 11-0 record, a conference championship, and a bowl game victory catching the game winning touchdown in the 1998 Potato Bowl.

Corey was able to earn a scholarship through his junior college program to West Liberty State College, a D-II school in upper West Virginia. He earned all-conference recognition his junior and senior year in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. In addition in his senior year, they won their first conference championship in over 27 years. He was also the first player in school history to every throw a touchdown, catch a touchdown, and return a punt all in the same game.

In 2001, he went on to play a season of arena football helping the Ohio Valley Greyhounds make the playoffs playing receiver and at quarterback.

Shane majored in business management and is currently employed with InVision Software. He also is one of the co-founders of The Camp of Champions, a non-profit organization dedicated to motivating today's youth. He and his wife, Krista reside in Oswego. They have two sons, Kyler and Rylan.

Javier GonzalezJavier Gonzalez

Defensive Backs Coach

Javier Gonzalez will be entering his third season as a member of the Joliet Junior College football coaching staff. Coach Gonzalez coaches the defensive secondary for the Wolves. 

Coach Gonzalez was the head freshman coach at Hammond High School in 2006, while also assisting with the varsity team's defensive backs. In 2008, he was the wide receivers coach at Joliet Central High School. In 2009, he assisted with the Wolves defensive backs.

He is a graduate of Joliet Central High School. He was a defensive back and played under Coach Antonio Juarez.

Coach Gonzalez earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Governors State University and received his master's degree from Lewis University in the field of public safety administration. He will begin work toward his doctoral degree next fall in the field of criminal justice. Coach Gonzalez has completed intern assignments with the Illinois State Police and the Ottawa Police Department.

He resides in Joliet, IL.

Carlos Craig

Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line CoachCarlos Craig

Carlos Craig will be entering his first year as the Wolves run game coordinator and offensive line coach. A passionate and enthusiastic teacher of the game, Coach Craig has developed impact players over the years resulting in multiple championships. Prior to accepting his position with JJC, he served as the Director of Player Personnel and Head Coach of the professional Milwaukee affiliate of the CIFL. Under Coach Craig, the Milwaukee franchise followed the fire of its new head coach in 2008 with an attacking style of play.

Coach Craig's impressive ledger began as the offensive coordinator of the minor league Lake County Chiefs in 2000. Carlos assumed the head coaching position, and in two seasons the organization won its first league championship. Carlos came to the NAFL National Champion Kane County Eagles in 2004, where he coordinated the defense along with coaching the defensive line. During the 2006 season, he served as the offensive coordinator.

Carlos made the progression to the professional ranks in 2008 where he began as the line coach for the Milwaukee Bonecrushers of the CIFL. He officiated responsibilities as the Director of Player Personnel and Salary Cap Coordinator. Some of the many duties he performed in that role included overseeing of scouting and player development, oversight of the football budget and contract negotiations. As head coach, he led the professional franchise to its most wins. Carlos has an overall record of 59-13 with a winning percentage of .738. His playoff record is an impressive 13-3 with two championships. He will play a vital role in the success and development of the JJC program.

Carlos is employed as an Assistant Vice President for PNC Bank NA. Coach Craig is a member of both the American Football Coaches Association and Black Coaches Association. Coach also serves as the Midwest Region Offensive Line Coach for the National Underclassmen Combine. He is the father of sons Steven, Jahmir, and Qaudry. Carlos resides in Shorewood, IL.
