What is an Internship?
An internship is a supervised, short-term work experience allowing students to test their skills and demonstrate career potential before they have completed their academic studies. * Please note: Career Services is not an academic department and is not authorized to award academic credit. As a JJC student, it is your responsibility to arrange academic credit through your academic advisor. A list of academic advisors can be found on the JJC's Counseling and Advising page.

Praise for the Internship Program at JJC
"I was very keen on finding an internship at a law firm; however, I had no idea how to start. I was beginning to lose hope. Fortunately, JJC's Career Services helped me find an excellent law internship. Initially, I started as an Administrative Assistant at Will County Legal Assistance. Within six months, I became a Legal Assistant at the Law Offices of June, Prodehl, & Renzi, LLC. I highly recommend Career Services to everyone attending JJC." – Furqaan Mustafa, JJC Alumnus
"Last fall, I had my first experience using Career Services at Joliet Junior College. Being an alumna myself and having a son currently attending the college, I feel strongly about the education and services that the college has to offer. Using Career Services helped me as a human resources manager to hire an intern who we in turn hired full time after the internship was through. What a great way to hire an employee! It was a win-win situation for us and we would be happy to return to Career Services in the future when the need arises." - Linda A. Sachaschik, Human Resources Manager, Nu Mark Credit Union
