Living at JJC

Student-Campus Housing

Located at the heart of Joliet Junior College, Centennial Commons combines premier housing and a student-centered community, giving you everything you need and deserve to succeed as a student at JJC. You will find fully furnished units, private bedrooms and other great amenities, in an environment that promotes personal growth and community responsibility with respect for individual differences.

Beginning Fall 2014, students will have the option to live in the designated "International House," a multicultural living community that will offer a global experience through its residents from around the world.  Click here for the CC International Suites brochure.

Our "Students First" residence life program provides you with activities, events, resources and information you need to make your time at JJC both memorable and successful.

Centennial Commons is managed by United Campus Housing. With experienced leadership and customized solutions, UCH offers a modern approach to student housing management.

Public Transportation

The PACE bus conveniently has a stop at Centennial Commons.  This allows the residents to go shopping, visit downtown Chicago, visit other U.S. cities or get to O'Hare International Airport.

The PACE bus route (#) also has a stop at the Joliet Union Station where students can board the Metra Rail System or the Amtrak Rail System.

Many dining and shopping options are available for Joliet Juinor College students.

  • Grocery Stores - there are several grocery stores within a 10 minute bus ride.
  • Farmer's Market (on-campus every Thursday, May - October) - A wide variety of local vendors selling fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, baked goods and other products, this is a great opportunity to get a taste from local farmers and businesses.
  • Restaurants - Joliet is a very diverse city, home to many great authentic restaurants.  Search restaurants and read customer reviews here.
