What is Project Achieve? |
| Project Achieve is an integrated student support program that is federally
funded. All services are free. |
| Who
qualifies for Project Achieve? |
| Students whose parents did not graduate from a
four-year university or college. Low-income students and disabled students
are also eligible. All students must be working on an associate
degree, either transfer or applied. |
| How
can I benefit from the services offered through Project Achieve? |
| Students benefit academically, culturally and
personally. Students generally experience an improvement in GPA, an easier
transition to four-year institutions, increased self-esteem, and cultural
enrichment. |
| How
do I sign up for the program? |
| An appointment must be made with the Academic
Specialist/Counselor. During this appointment, an Intake/Orientation will
take place. All a student must bring is an estimate of the family's income
for recording purposes. |
| How
often can I see the Tutor’s? |
| Tutors directly schedule their own appointments
. Each tutor has his/her own tutorial rules. Generally, a student can see
a tutor once a week. See Professional Tutors Page for specific information. |
