What is the Student Wellness Council?
-
Students who promote wellness
on campus through peer education & programming.
-
A student lead group who assists
the Wellness Coordinator in selecting programs pertinent to students.
-
A group of students interested
in personal health.
-
Students who want to meet
others.
-
Students who want to make a difference & get involved.

What does the Student Wellness Council do?
-
Two yearly fundraisers, including Hugs-N-Kisses Bouquets.
-
Provides stress relief day for JJC students
near mid-terms and finals.
-
Sponsors alcohol awareness
activities.
-
Sponsors various themed
activities throughout the year: Yearly
programs include:
- Stress Relief Days (Midterm and Finals)
- National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (October)
- Alcohol Awareness Week (December)
- Hugs and Kisses Fundraiser (February)
- Sexual Responsibility Week (February)
- Eating Disorders Awareness Week (Feb/March)
- Nutrition Month (March)
- Alcohol Awareness Month/ Wellness Week (April)
- And more as the group determines!
