New Students
New Students
New full-time students are required to attend a new student group
advising and eRegistration session. While new part-time students
are not required to attend a group advising and eRegistration session, it is highly
encouraged.
Full Time Group Advising
- Be sure you have completed the new
full-time student admissions steps first.
- Obtain your JJC login information (ID and password) if you have not already done
so at the
password help page.
- Login and view the
new student presentation.
- After viewing the presentation, you will be asked to login once more, to select
a group advising and eRegistration session. Please note that group size is limited.
- Print a certificate verifying your group advising and eRegistration session selection.
- At the new student group advising and eRegistration session you selected, please
plan to remain for 2-1/2 hours to complete the entire group process.
You must bring the following:
- A copy of your COMPASS test results
- Your JJC username and password
- The certificate verifying your reservation for the group session
- A photo ID
- A copy of your high school transcripts (if registering for a college-level math
course)
New Part-time Students
Part-time students may register for courses without attending a session. Students
choosing to register on their own will not receive counselor assistance in selecting
courses. If you wish to use this option, please see the registration page.

- Obtain your JJC login information (ID and password) if you have not already done
so at the password help page.
- Login and view the new student presentation.
- After viewing the presentation, you will be asked to login once more, to select
a group advising session. Course recommendations will be made at this session and
students can then self-register. Please note that group size is limited.
- Print a certificate verifying your group advising session selection.
- At the new student group advising and session you selected, please plan to remain
for 1 1/2 hours to complete the entire group process.
You must bring the following:

- The certificate verifying your reservation for the group session
- A copy of your high school transcripts (if registering for a college-level math
course)
Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences Specialized Intake Process
Students pursuing these majors must contact the department to complete their New
