Student African American Brotherhood

By using a student centered approach that is embedded in JJC’s Core Values, OMSA offers leadership, development opportunities and academic/cultural enrichment resources, services, and programs to facilitate the educational and personal growth of students by:

● Serving as an advocate for minority students;

● Collaborating with faculty, staff, and students regarding minority students’ trends;

● Engaging the JJC community in creating a diverse, culturally inclusive environment;

● Partnering with College departments, District 525 schools, community agencies, and churches to promote recruitment and retention efforts at JJC;

● Establishing a JJC Cultural Resource Center;

● Coordinating opportunities for JJC students to partner with the business community to promote professional growth; and

● Promoting a successful transition from high school or previous educational institution for entering/transfer students.
