ASTR 101 Descriptive Astronomy
- A non-mathematical introductory
astronomy survey course
that covers the concepts, principles and methods
which lead to the understanding of our present view of the solar system,
stars and galaxies in the universe.
This course is offered during the

PHSCI 125 Life in the Universe
- This course will cover the nature of life as we know it on
Earth, where else in our solar system life could possibly exist, whether life
could exist on recently discovered planets that orbit other stars, whether we
could live and travel in space. It will emphasize the fundamental principles of
physics, astronomy, geology, chemistry and biology. It will also cover the
philosophical importance of scientific discoveries and the impact of the
discovery of life beyond Earth.
This course is being offered for the
