ANNOUNCEMENTS The JJC Chorale, Joliet Junior College 's well-known 45-voice community choir, invites all people of high school age and older who enjoy singing to join them the beginning of the Fall and/or Spring semesters. . The choir is conducted by Philip Spencer, Professor of Music, who is a graduate of the Yale University School of Music. No audition is required to join, prior singing experience is desirable, the ability read music is not required. Additional tenors and basses are especially welcome. The JJC Chorale will present its Seventh Annual "Carols and Chocolate" concert in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Rd, Joliet, on Sunday, December 14th, 3:00 PM. Tickets sold at the door only. The major work will be Benjamin Britten's 'A Ceremony Of Carols', accompanied by harp. In addition, they will sing a true American holiday classic, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas', as well as a variety of other carols old and new. Fall rehearsals begin Tuesday, August 26th, 7:00 p.m., Main Campus, (Fine Arts Building) Building K, Rm. 1003. |
