Mr. Jerry E. Lewis was an intricate part of Joliet Junior College over a span of
thirty-three years, during which he taught applied brass and jazz history; directed the JJC Jazz Band (25 years); and was the founder and director
of the JJC Community Band (26 years). Mr. Lewis also chaired the Music Department and the Fine Arts Department (27 years). A scholarship was established by the Fine Arts Department in 2004 to celebrate the life and teaching career of Mr. Lewis. |
