David Nuccio was born into a musical family. His father was a professional musician and teacher as are his elder siblings. Being surrounded by
music in his home, he showed an early interest in music and began piano lessons at a young age. His college education includes a Bachelor of Music
and Master of Music degree in music theory and performance (piano) from The American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.
After receiving his music degrees, he taught jazz piano at The American Conservatory of Music and Roosevelt University in Chicago from 1984-1996
while operating his own commercial music business in downtown Chicago writing and producing jingles for advertising agencies. His client list
included Coca Cola, McDonalds, Coors Beer and more. He is currently a faculty member of Joliet Junior College and Saint Xavier University teaching
music theory and music history since 2001.
David joined his first musical group as a keyboardist in 1973 while attending Northern Illinois University. His performance career developed
playing keyboards with several jazz, rock and pop bands and as a band leader since 1977 in all musical styles. He is self-taught on the electric
bass guitar and formed The New Invaders, a musical/theatrical stage show paying tribute to the music of the mid-1960’s British Invasion, through
the late 1960’s Woodstock era.
