various courses were shown. Exhibit ran from January 22 through February 16.
- Attended Instructor Productivity Training for 3D-Viz Computer Program at Moraine Valley Community, July 24-26, 2006.

Gisele Atterberry, Associate Professor of Art
- Presented a lectured entitled, The English Country House, The Midwest, and Allerton at the Champaign Public Library, Champaign, IL, on
September 26, 2006.
- Served as a reviewer for the fifth edition of Art Past Art Present by Wilkins, Schultz and Linduff.
- Spoke with first and second grade students at the Malden Grade School, Malden, IL, about her recent teaching and travels to Canterbury,
England, May 15, 2006.

Zach Bloomfield, Professor of Speech and Theatre
Co-director for the Spoon River Anthology, November 18.
Received the 2006 Illinois Theatre Association University/College Award, October 8, 2006.
Attended the Association for Theatre in Higher Education Conference. In addition to attending the conference, was a
conference planner, presenter, and coordinator for a workshop. The conference was held in Chicago, August 3-6, 2006.

- Co-director for the Spoon River Anthology, November 18
- Directed seven performances of Treasure Island which served as the kick-off for the public
libraries summer reading programs. Performances were held June 12-16, 2006.

Merchandising
- Attended the Fashion Design at the Holiday Day in Mart Plaza Apparel/Merchandise Mart, November 10. The day included a keynote speaker,
concurrent sessions with professionals within the field of fashion, a Designer Fashion Show, and a Student Competition with four and
two-year colleges and universities.
- Was invited to participated in the merchandising and activities to prepare the Victoria Secret Store at the Ridge Mall in Chicago for
its holiday and grand opening on October 17.
- Reviewed textbooks for Prentice Hall during 2005-2006.

Thomas Liley, Professor of Music
- Received a Guest Faculty Residency at Kansas State University where he met with faculty,
presented a master class, and worked with individual students, January 22 and 23.
- Presented a lecture and a recital at the U.S. Navy Band 30th International Saxophone Symposium.
The event was held at the George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, January 5 and 6.
- Granted renewed status as a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Woodwinds by the Music
Teachers National Association.
- Judged the Concerto Competition for the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra, October 28.
- Presented a Faculty Recital at Joliet Junior College, October 22.
- Guest Artist at the Sixth Annual International Saxophone Master Classes held at the University of
Minnesota, October 12-14.
- Presented a master class and recital at Illinois State University, September 22.
- Is writing a series of pedagogical articles for the Clarinet and Saxophone
Society of Great Britain to be published in their magazines. The first article will appear in the 2006 December issue.
- Was invited by the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in Chengdu, China, to
present master classes and a series of performances in 2007
- Was a member of the faculty at the Shell Lake Arts Center in northern
Wisconsin, presenting master classes, a lecture, and a solo recital, Shell Lake Wisconsin, August 6-11, 2006.
- Lectured and performed as soloist at the Fourteenth World Saxophone
Congress, attended by 80 saxophonist from around the world, Ljubjana, Slovenia, July 5-9, 2006.

- Attended the Association of Illinois Music Schools Annual Meeting serving as
the Community College Executive Board Member. The meeting was held at Millikin University, October 13.
- Spoke to the Joliet Junior College Counseling Personnel regarding music
curriculum and advising on September 7, 2006.

Philip Spencer, Associate Professor of Music
- Accompanist for the Fall Convention of the Illinois Chapter, American Choral Directors
Association, Wheaton, IL, on October 20.
- Was the guest conductor for the Fifth Annual Men’s Summer Sing, Our
Saviour's Lutheran Church, Naperville, August 26-27, 2006.
- Performed as jazz pianist and accompanist for a benefit concert for the
Hospice of Joliet, at Bicentennial Park, August 20, 2006.
- Served as accompanist and coordinator for Illinois Chapter, American Choral
Directors Association summer seminar, Bloomington, IL, July 12-14, 2006
- Formed a new auditioned national choir. (Lutheran Youth Choir of North
America.) He took the choir on a 6-day tour to Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, Canada, Summer 2006.
