Students will learn advance techniques and functions of Adobe Photoshop including advanced layering, color correcting, and retouching. Students will create complex composite images and original artwork.

OBJECTIVES
1. Adjust the settings within Photoshop to match specific ink and printing conditions.
2. Convert images from RGB to CMYK color.
3. Determine where and when specific file types are best utilized.
4. Adjust brightness and contrast in a number of ways.
5. Produce professional, high-quality color correction with the color correction tools.
6. Create three-dimensional artwork using transformation tools.
7. Create extremely high-quality special effects by using channels and selection areas.
8. Build complex selections and silhouettes.
9. Use custom and virtual channels to build complex images.
10. Apply advanced layering techniques to the construction of complex images.
11. Repair flaws in images with painting tools.
12. Retouch images to remove any indication that the image was modified.
13. Correct and clean up bad scans with blurring and sharpening tools.
14. Create drop shadows and cast shadows.
15. Create backgrounds, patterns, and textures for developing complex composite images and original artwork.
16. Use render filters to create the illusion of photo realistic lighting.
17. Import and export elements and images into and out of the Photoshop working environment.
