12 Lead EKG Interpretation (HC104) Addressed will be cardiac dysrhythmias found in 12-lead EKG. Designed for all health care professionals with a minimum of six months experience and knowledge of medical terminology, or completion of HC 103. |

Current Nurse Update (HC 111) Approved by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, this course is a 6-week planned program for registered nurses preparing to re-enter nursing practice. The course includes a review of basic nursing care concepts, principles and skills relevant to all aspects of the life cycle as well as an update of current trends, concepts and skills relevant to the registered nurse. Clinical experience will be on Wed. evenings. Laboratory experience is offered concurrently with classroom instruction. Must also enroll in HC 112. |

Hands on IV and VAD Workshop (HCN 232) Learn all you need to know to initiate and maintain an IV and maintain VAD devices in this three-session workshop. Student will learn to recognize legal considerations associated with infusion therapy and apply the latest nursing protocol for implanted ports, tunneled, non-tunneled, and peripherally-inserted catheters. Designed for the RN working in a hospital, long-term care facility, home health, or a fourth level nursing student. Lab practice included. Three sessions. |

Phlebotomy for the RN (HCN 234) Provides hands on workshop for the RN or fourth- level nursing student. Instruction on drawing blood for lab analysis is thoroughly covered in this two-session program. |
