The mission of the Joliet Junior College Native American Club to promote increased awareness and cultural understanding of indigenous peoples of America at Joliet Junior College and the respective community.

We try to succeed at our mission by sponsoring a number of Native American cultural events at the college. The largest of these events is our annual Pow Wow which is held on the 2nd weekend in March. This event is co-produced with the cooperation of the American Indian Center of Chicago, a non-profit organization providing support to Native Americans in the Chicago area.

If you are interested in Native American culture and would like to join us, please contact Fred Harris, club advisor. Please note you do not have to be Native American to participate in club activities and club events are free to members.
