The mission of the JJChess Club is to
promote, and support, the enjoyment of the game of chess as an instrument of
higher learning at Joliet Junior College. The club is open to all JJC students, faculty,
and staff who are encouraged to participate in all club functions and
activities. Citizens residing in the JJC Service District are also
welcomed to participate in the club as guests of JJC and the JJChess Club.

Greetings and
Welcome to the JJChess web site.
The club meets regularly all year long on
Thursday evenings from
6:45 pm to 10:00 pm in ROOM J 0006.
The club offers such fun activities as..."An Evening at the
Blitz"
(Rapid Chess) tournaments on the last Thursday of each month,
Fall & Spring tournaments, trips to
tournaments,
Grandmaster Simultaneous Events, Chess Festivals, and Chess Lessons.
All residents in the JJC
regional communities
are welcomed and encouraged to participate
as are all visitors to Joliet!
