10/02/08: The Club will be hosting a variety of events over the next few weeks. Our next outing will be a social fish at Braidwood lake on Oct. 4th (see the forum for details); while our next "big" on the water event will be an outing to a private bass lake in Joliet - details for this event can be viewed at the calendar page. Space is limited to 12 participants, so please book early!

8/14/08: 2008/9 JJCAC membership forms (we follow the academic year, Sept. - Aug.) are now available at the Club Documents page , or simply click here. As always, membership is free to registered students and  members of the College, as well as their families.

5/9/08: Club members recently completed an in depth feature focusing on fishing lakes in Springtime. The completed article comprises nearly 6000 words and has 50 photos - it's by far our most detailed piece to date! Check out full details on Springtime Lake Fishing: Pole v Feeder at the Articles page.
10/01/07: The Club's recent float fishing demo / social fishing event was a great success. Approximately 20 lb of pan fish, as well as a bass, were caught on the day.  A Photo Feature detailing this event is now available at the Articles Page!
3/26/07: The JJCAC's first Angling publication: 'Bankfishing 101' is now available for free to Club members - just drop Pat an e-mail to arrange for pick up. However, for any other interested parties (including non-members) this publication may also be downloaded for free, please click here (.pdf, 8.10 MB).

6/7/04: We catch these too! Bankfisher isn't just about catching bluegills and carp - the bank fishing methods featured also work exceptionally well for stocked bass, catfish and trout. Bottom line is, if they are there we'll show ya how to catch 'em! The bass shown in the picture was part of an 13 fish catch taken over 4 hrs. from a small municipal pond.
