8/28/08
Lady Wolves fall to Moraine Valley in five
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
fell to Moraine Valley Community College by a score of 21-25, 25-19,
25-22, 14-25, 10-15 for the first game of the season. Mary Sesol had 17
kills and 16 digs, while Kirsten Rueck had 14 kills and 12 digs. Kaitlin
Soto recorded 42 assists. JJC (0-1 overall) travels to Kankakee
Community College on Friday-Saturday, August 29-30, 2008 to compete in
the KCC Invite.

JJC shut out in Kankakee Invite
The JJC volleyball team opened up pool play
at the Kankakee Community College Invite with a loss to Kankakee by a
score of 8-25, 12-25, 21-25. Katie Liberatore and Mary Sesol both had 5
kills each. Kaitlin Soto had 33 assists. Shawnee CC defeated the Lady
Wolves in the second game of the day by score of 25-22, 16-25, 25-22,
18-25, 10-15. Mary Sesol had 17 kills and Kirsten Rueck had 15 kills.
Sesol added 9 digs. Setter Kaitlin Soto had 40 assists in the contest.
In day two of the tournament, JJC fell to Prairie State College with a
22-25, 22-25 18-25 score. Mary Sesol had 10 digs and 5 kills. Lauren
Hicks added 8 digs and Soto had 10 assists. East Central CC sent JJC
packing with a 13-25, 16-25, 8-25 score. Sesol and Rueck both had 10
kills each. JJC (0-5 overall) travels to N4C conference opponent Harper
College on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Game time is 6:00 pm.

Lady Wolves open up N4C conference play
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
opened up N4C conference play with a 14-25, 23-25, 18-25 loss to Harper
College. Katie Liberatore had 7 kills, while Kirsten Rueck added 6 kills
and 8 digs. Mary Sesol recorded 7 digs in the contest. Setter Kaitlin
Soto had 33 assists. JJC (0-6 overall, 0-1 N4C) travels to the South
Suburban College Invite on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

Joliet drops three at South Suburban Invite
The JJC volleyball team opened up play in
the South Suburban College Invite with a 23-25, 15-25 loss to Prairie
State College. Kirsten Rueck had 8 kills. Mary Sesol had 9 digs, while
Lauren Hicks added 8 digs. Wayne County CC handed JJC their second loss
of the day with a 23-25, 18-25 score. Kirsten Rueck had 8 kills in the
match. Lauren Hicks had 6 digs, while Rueck and Meghan Graves both had 3
aces. The Lady Wolves fell to Black Hawk College in the final match of
the day by a 24-26, 23-25 score. Rueck led the team with 9 kills, while
Mary Sesol had 8 digs and 6 aces. Kaitlin Soto added 15 assists. JJC
(0-9 overall) hosts South Suburban College on Tuesday, September 9,
2008. Game time is 6:00 pm.

Lady Wolves get first win of the season
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
got their first win of the season against South Suburban College with a
score of 25-17, 25-20, 25-18. Mary Sesol led the way with 14 kills and 7
digs, while Kirsten Rueck added 11 kills. Kaitlin Soto had 10 aces and
28 assists for Joliet. JJC (1-9 overall) travels to Waubonsee Community
College on Thursday, September 11, 2008. Game time is 6:00 pm.

JJC gets two in a row
The JJC volleyball team defeated Waubonsee
Community College by a score of 25-13, 25-10, 25-22. Mary Sesol had 11
kills and 9 digs. Kirsten Rueck added 9 kills, 9 digs, and 8 aces.
Setter Kaitlin Soto had 23 assists in the contest. JJC (2-9 overall)
travels to N4C conference opponent Rock Valley College on Tuesday,
September 16, 2008. Game time is 6:00 pm.

Rock Valley takes three from JJC
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
was defeated by N4C conference opponent Rock Valley College by a score
of 10-25, 17-25, 10-25. Mary Sesol had 7 kills and 10 digs. Meghan
Graves recorded 16 digs and Kaitlin Soto had 15 assists. JJC (2-10
overall, 0-2 N4C) hosts N4C conference opponent College of DuPage on
Thursday, September 18, 2008. Game time is 6:00 pm.

Lady Wolves earn first conference win
against DuPage
The JJC volleyball team defeated N4C
conference opponent College of DuPage by a score of 18-25, 25-22, 25-22,
25-23. Mary Sesol led the way with 13 kills and 15 digs. Kirsten Rueck
added 15 digs, while Lauren Hicks and Kaitlin Soto both had 11 digs.
Meghan Graves added 6 aces. Soto finished with 33 assists. JJC (3-10
overall, 1-2 N4C) travels to the Southeastern Community College
tournament on Friday-Saturday, September 19-20, 2008.
9/19/08-9/20/08
JJC travels to Southeastern tournament
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
took on Southeastern Community College in the opening round of the
Southeastern CC tournament. JJC was defeated by a score of 14-25, 17-25,
16-25. Kirsten Rueck had 15 kills and 7 digs. Lauren Hicks had 10 digs,
while Kaitlin Soto added 31 assists. The Lady Wolves then faced Lewis &
Clark CC where they fell by a 12-25, 19-25, 22-25 score. Mary Sesol had
11 kills and 11 digs in the contest. Nadia Paramo recorded 10 digs. The
next day of the tournament, JJC was defeated by Highland CC by a score
of 12-25, 9-25, 15-25. Mary Sesol and Paula Bolan had five kills each.
Kaskaskia handed the Lady Wolves their final loss of the day with a
16-25, 23-25, 17-25 score. Mary Sesol recorded 14 kills, while Kaitlin
Soto added 28 assists. JJC (3-14 overall) travels to N4C conference
opponent Triton College on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Game time is
6:00 pm.

Joliet earns N4C conference victory
The JJC volleyball team defeated N4C
conference opponent Triton College by a score of 25-11, 25-11, 25-7.
Kirsten Rueck had 6 kills, 6 digs, and 5 aces. Katie Liberatore had 5
kills and 11 aces for the Lady Wolves. Kaitlin Soto added 17 assists in
the contest. JJC (4-14 overall, 2-2 N4C) travels to the St. Ambrose University
tournament on Saturday, September 27, 2008.

Lady Wolves take 3 of 4 at tournament
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
took 3 of 4 games at the St. Ambrose University Invite. JJC defeated
tournament host St. Ambrose JV by a score of 25-19, 25-19. Katie
Liberatore and Mary Sesol had 7 kills each. Sesol had 15 digs, while
Meghan Graves added 11 digs. Kaitlin Soto added 22 assists. The Lady
Wolves then defeated Mount Mercy College 25-27, 25-17, 15-6. Liberatore
had 10 kills and 9 digs. Mary Sesol and Kirsten Rueck had 9 kills each.
Graves added 10 digs. JJC jumped on Carl Sandburg right away and picked
up their third win of the day with a 25-20, 30-28 score. Mary Sesol had
10 kills and Kaitlin Soto earned 24 assists. Clinton Community College
handed JJC their only loss of the day with a 23-25, 14-25 score. Katie
Liberatore had 6 kills, while Sesol and Rueck both had 5 kills. Kaitlin
Soto had 15 assists and 10 digs. JJC (7-15 overall) hosts N4C conference
opponent Rock Valley College on Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Game time
is 6:00 pm.

JJC falls to Rock Valley
The JJC volleyball team was defeated by N4C
conference opponent Rock Valley College by a score of 21-25, 20-25,
8-25. Mary Sesol led the Lady Wolves with 6 kills and 9 digs. Kaitlin
Soto added 15 assists and 9 digs. JJC (7-16 overall, 2-3 N4C) travels to
Millikin University JV on Sunday, October 5, 2008. Game time is 2:00 pm.

Millikin JV tops Lady Wolves in five
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
was defeated by Millikin University JV by a score of 25-15, 18-25,
26-24, 24-26, 14-16. Kirsten Rueck had 10 kills for JJC. Mary Sesol and
Kaitlin Soto had 12 digs, while Katie Liberatore had 10 digs. Soto
recorded 29 assists in the contest. JJC (7-17 overall) hosts N4C
conference opponent Harper College on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. Game
time is 6:00 pm.

conference opponent Harper College by a score of 21-25, 15-25, 25-18,
21-25. Mary Sesol had 15 kills, while Katie Liberatore had 11 kills and
11 digs. Kirsten Rueck and Kaitlin Soto chalked up 8 digs each. Soto
added 34 assists. JJC (7-18 overall) travel to N4C conference opponent
College of DuPage on Thursday, October 9, 2008. Game time is 6:00 pm.

DuPage gets the best of JJC
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
was defeated by N4C conference opponent College of DuPage by a score of
11-25, 25-23, 23-25, 10-25. Mary Sesol had 11 kills and 15 digs, while
Kirsten Rueck had 11 kills and 11 digs. Meghan Graves had 15 digs and
Kaitlin Soto recorded 32 assists in the contest. JJC (7-19 overall, 2-4
N4C) travels to the College of Lake County Tri-Match on Saturday,
October 11, 2008. Game time is 10:00 am.

Lady Wolves split at tri-match
The JJC volleyball team earned a split
decision with Triton College and the College of Lake County during a
tri-match at Lake County. The Lady Wolves took care of business with
Triton with a 25-9, 25-12, 25-7 score. Mary Sesol had 7 kills and 6
digs. Kirsten Rueck had 6 kills and 8 digs. Kaitlin Soto had 18 assists.
In game 2, JJC fell to host Lake County by a score of 25-20, 17-25,
12-25, 23-25. Sesol had 10 kills and 16 digs. Rueck earned 9 kills. Soto
recorded 9 digs and 29 assists. JJC (8-20 overall) travel to Lincoln
College for a tri-match on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Game time is
10:00 am.

JJC drops two in tri-match
The Joliet Junior College volleyball team
dropped a pair of games to Lincoln College and Kaskaskia College.
Lincoln defeated the Lady Wolves 14-25, 25-16, 14-25, 14-25. Kirsten
Rueck had 9 kills and 12 digs, while Katie Liberatore had 8 kills and 8
digs. Nadia Paramo recorded 10 digs, and Kaitlin Soto earned 25 assists.
Kaskaskia got the best of JJC in five games with a score of 20-25,
25-19, 25-23, 20-25, 10-15. Mary Sesol had 17 kills and 15 digs. Kirsten
Rueck had 14 kills and 18 digs. Meghan Graves and Kaitlin Soto had
18 digs each. Soto finished with 40 assists. JJC (8-22 overall) travels
to Morton College on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Game time is 6:00
