receives #10 ranking in NJCAA pre-season polls
The Joliet
Junior College women's basketball team has been ranked #10 in the NJCAA
Division III pre-season poll. The Lady Wolves are young this season, but
have a great outlook for this year. Sophomore Martha Benjamin has been
named a NJCAA pre-season All-American. She averaged 14.3 points per game
and 12.0 rebounds per game last season. JJC opens up their regular
season schedule at Prairie State College on Thursday, November 6, 2008.
Game time is 5:00 pm.

Robinson receives Region IV Division III Player of the Week
Freshman
Shakyra Robinson has received Region IV Division III Player of the Week.
In the season opener at Prairie State College, the Joliet West High
School graduate scored 13 points shooting 6 of 8 from the field.
Robinson also had 7 assists, 6 steals, and 3 blocked shots.
