JJC begins season at Harper College

The Joliet Junior College men's cross country team opened up their season with a race at Harper College. Harper finished first with 23 points. Sauk Valley CC was second with 51 points, Joliet Junior College third with 74 points, and Elgin CC coming in fourth with 78 points. Rodolfo Bores led the Wolves finishing 11th with an 18:27 time. Micah Carrier came in 12th (18:50), Matt Andorf finished 14th (19:10), Sergio Brown in 16th with a 21:14 time. Steven Thomas rounded out the lineup in 21st with a 24:13 time. JJC runs their next race on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Waubonsee Community College at 10:00 am.

Wolves continue schedule at Waubonsee

The JJC men's cross country team ran their second race of the season at the Waubonsee Community College Invite. Matt Andorf came in 27th with a 30:09 time, Rodolfo Bores finished 41st in 31:40, Sergio Brown ran a 36:37 for 64th place, and Steven Thomas came in 70th with a 41:22 time. In the team category, North Iowa Area Community College took first place with 25 points, followed by Rockford College (57), Waubonsee CC (70), Harper College (126), Morton College (147), Sauk Valley CC (151), Prairie State College (159), and College of Lake County (216). JJC will continue their race schedule at the Loyola University Invite on Saturday, September 27, 2008. Race time is 11:00 am.

JJC competes at Sean Earl Invitational

The Joliet Junior College cross country team ran at the Sean Earl Invitational hosted by Loyola University. Rodolfo Bores led the Wolves with a 30:13 time followed by Matt Andorf at 30:54, Sergio Brown with 39:09, and Steven Thomas at 39:11. The race had a mix of NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA schools totaling 36 teams. JJC's next race will be on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Sauk Valley Community College. Race time is 10:00 am.

Joliet continues on at Sauk Valley

The JJC men's cross country team ran at the Sauk Valley Community College Invite this past weekend. Rudolfo Bores finished 20th with a 33:11 time. Sergio Brown finished 30th at 37:34 and Steven Thomas finished 32nd with a 38:33 time. JJC competed with Lake County, Prairie State, Harper, Carl Sandburg, Morton, Illinois Valley, and Sauk Valley. The Region IV Championship race is on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Sauk Valley Community College at 10:00 am. The top finishers will advance to the NJCAA Division III Championship at the Community College of Rhode Island on Saturday, November 8, 2008.
